Student Counseling Center provides counseling related services for all HKUST(GZ) registered students.
Our services include individual counseling, group counseling, psychological crisis intervention, mental health screening, and mental wellness activities.
Individual counseling
In counselling, you will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns in a way that is different from talking to someone close to you. Our counsellors are trained professionals who will listen to you with their full attention, without judgement and with empathy. Counseling can help you to think about your difficulties in a variety of different ways and reflect on your experiences to gain a better understanding of what has been happening. It can also help you to express yourself.
Group counseling
Group Counseling is a form of psychological counseling conducted in a group setting. It is through interpersonal interaction within the group that encourages individuals to understand themselves, accept themselves, adjust and improve their relationships with others, and learn new attitudes and behaviors through observation, learning from and helping others.
