Traffic safety is an important part of campus safety. Whether you walk, cycle, or take the shuttle bus, metro, or public bus, please put safety first every time you travel. To help students develop good travel habits, the Student Housing Management Center has compiled the following traffic safety tips.

I. Walking Safety

• Walk on sidewalks; if there is no sidewalk, walk on the side of the road.

• Cross at zebra crossings, do not run red lights, and do not climb over barriers.

• Don't be a "phone zombie" – avoid looking at your phone or wearing headphones when crossing the road.

• Roads are slippery on rainy days – watch your step and avoid flooded areas.

II. Cycling Safety

• Wear a helmet when cycling or riding an e-bike.

• Do not ride against traffic, run red lights, carry passengers, or ride side by side.

• Control your speed, especially on slippery rainy days or at night when visibility is poor.

• Do not ride in motor vehicle lanes or chase each other.

III. Using Public Transport

• When taking the shuttle bus or public bus, wait for the vehicle to stop completely before getting on or off. Do not rush or push.

• Hold on to handrails while riding. Do not put your head or hands out of the window.

• When taking the metro, stand behind the yellow line, let passengers off first, and do not rush the doors.

IV. Nighttime and Rainy Day Travel

• Try to travel in groups at night and wear light-colored or reflective clothing.

• Roads are slippery on rainy days – watch your step and avoid flooded areas.

• Students living in Qing'an Garden are advised to take the university shuttle bus.

V. Safe Travel Pledge

• Follow traffic rules – don't take shortcuts for convenience.

• Be courteous and yield to others.

• Report any traffic hazards to relevant university departments promptly.
